Regarding the space and table layout: our interior and seating arrangement are clearly visible across multiple channels — on our website, Google profile, and other platforms we use. We believe transparency is important, so guests can see exactly what to expect before visiting. Kuzina is an urban, contemporary restaurant, designed to create a lively, social environment rather than a secluded dining room with wide spacing between tables. We understand this style may not suit everyone, but it is very much a conscious choice rather than an oversight. We've been to many places in Greece, Italy, France and we can assure you it is not something bothering for the European restaurant scene.

As for the food, we fully respect that taste is subjective. That said, when referencing "a semi-good Greek restaurant, we're curious what benchmark you're using. Greek cuisine ranges from simple tavern dishes to modern, chef-driven interpretations using premium products and refined techniques. Our concept belongs firmly to the latter, focusing on balance, quality, and progression rather than large, filling portions.

Portion size and pricing are directly linked to the quality of ingredients and craftsmanship involved. Many of the products we use are imported directly from Greece and are not commonly available on the local market. For guests whose priority is quantity over detail and sourcing, there are certainly other venues in Sofia that cater better to that expectation.

We appreciate your visit and your perspective. Kuzina may not be the perfect fit for every guest —and that's perfectly fine As Oscar Wilde once observed, people often know the price of everything but not always the value. We remain confident in the experience we offer to those who recognise and appreciate our approach.

We can only assume you must be very familiar with supermarket food — and we don't argue with that. Everyone has their own comfort zone. In Greece you'll find many excellent supermarket chains, including Masoutis, where you can buy packaged seafood, dried pasta, and pre-grated Parmesan, and mix them together however you like at home. That is absolutely your choice.

At Kuzina, however, we respect the principles of authentic Mediterranean cuisine. Just as in Italy no café will serve you a cappuccino in the afternoon —because culture and tradition matter — we also will not serve Parmesan with seafood. This isn't stubbornness, it's culinary integrity.

In the Mediterranean, the sea itself is sacred. Writers from Homer to Lawrence Durrell have reminded us that the taste of the sea must be celebrated, not covered As the French gastronome Brillat-Savarin once said, "Tell me what you eat, and I will tell you who you are." If what you want is to mask the flavor of fresh seafood with cheese, then perhaps you are not looking for the essence of the Aegean, but simply for convenience.

Our seafood pasta is crafted with respect — letting the flavours of the sea speak for themselves. For guests who enjoy cheese, we proudly offer authentic Greek Graviera, a long-aged, complex product that complements but never dominates.

Supermarket lovers can always mix whatever ingredients they like at home. But in Kuzina, we stand by the traditions of the Mediterranean table, and that means letting the sea shine on the plate.
